Ozone for Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Of all the chronic and impossible health issues that conventional medicine can only manage symptoms of...

Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome are two problems where patients seem to reap great benefits from ozone therapy.

This becomes even more important now that more and more people develop chronic fatigue as a long haul symptom after infections.

My hypothesis is that ozone therapy seems to jumpstart things after a cell danger response whether it’s from infections, toxicity, or even traumas. The cell danger response refers to the biological stress response that may underlie fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.

Chronic pain, such as fibromyalgia, tends to come from the brain learning to perceive the pain rather than from true damage or injuries. Pain neurons can also become overstimulated with inflammation without true stimuli.

Beyond rebalancing inflammation, ozone therapy stimulates regenerative signals like BDNF and stem cells, along with relaxing neurotransmitters like GABA. These all help to relieve chronic pain at the root causes. It’s no wonder that the clinical evidence for using ozone therapy to treat chronic pain is so robust.

Anecdotally, I’ve heard numerous testimonials from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue patients, such as Dino’s story:

Bought the ozone generator because we have a wolfhound with bone cancer, but also I have fibromyalgia, and constantly having problems with sinus infections, asthma. So far I've been doing treatments on myself and Piper. I do the ear and rectal every other day also and seem to have knocked out the infection in my sinus. I still don’t sleep well because of joint pains, but I do think it’s getting a bit better throughout the day! I used to have to take ibuprofen 3 times a day. I’ve cut that in 1/2. So if you're new to the ozone don’t shy away, give it a try!!!

That said, ozone therapy is far from a panacea and you need to keep in mind that many fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue patients are very sensitive people.

Some patients seem to experience overnight breakthrough improvements, while others get flares or Herxheimer reactions after an ozone session. Therefore, it’s crucial to first address the foundations before introducing ozone, and introduce ozone slowly.
