DR. TOM CASTELLANO

Dr. Castellano’s passion for medicine and helping people was implanted from birth via his parents – a physician and nurse. The Colorado native received his elementary and secondary education in Denver. Tom’s humanitarian approach and Christian values evolved through his parent’s guidance. Tom earned a scholarship to Stanford University where he received both Bachelors’ and Masters’ Degrees in Neurobiology. He followed his dream and was admitted to the Medical College of Wisconsin earning his Medical Degree and board certification in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Castellano loved the fast pace of the ER, but eventually found his heart was in helping people with chronic diseases including through the end-of-life care in hospice.

Dr. Castellano, along with many of his patients, became disheartened with the number of complex medicinal regimens that patients were following, and yet not achieving fulfilling results. After years of studying and observing the fundamental causes of diseases, he has evolved and embraced the idea of functional and integrative practices. Finding and treating the root cause of issues, and spending quality time with patients has led to the opening of this holistic/naturalistic practice treating the brain, body, heart, and soul.

CARISSA

Medical Assistant, IV Therapist & Phlebotomist

Carissa grew up with a strong desire to help others and a deep interest in the medical field. Carissa’s dad can attest to her early passion for medicine; she began performing "surgeries" on him with toy surgical equipment at age five. After completing her elementary and secondary education in Colorado, she did a two-year Missions program in Oklahoma City. Afterwards, she pursued her passion for medicine by working and training under a talented functional medicine physician.

Carissa trained as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, and IV Therapist, where she learned the importance of addressing the root cause of disease, rather than just applying a band-aid solution.

Seeking a faster-paced environment, she worked at LabCorp and Longmont United Hospital for two years. This experience not only broadened her skillset but also deepened her appreciation for alternative medicine and reinforced the value of what she had learned in functional medicine.

Now, Carissa is deeply passionate about helping people identify and address the root causes of their health challenges—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Through her own health journey and professional training, she has found joy in guiding others toward healing and lasting wellness. Currently, Carissa is completing her Health Coach and Nutrition Certification to further empower individuals on their wellness path.
